The first guy they head locked deserved it. The cop put his hand on his shoulder, and rather then cooperating he shove the cops hand off, and then tried to resist being removed. The guy with the plaid shorts, didn't really deserve it, he was only voicing his opinion. However, that could have turned into a really harsh situation, and I guess the cops thought it best to put an end to it before it turned into a major brawl with multiple fans.

Watched the video a second time and the guy in red shirt knows he's guilty of something..He never looks back once to look at what is going on behind him..His eyes are shifty and the look of guilt is all over his face..Trust me this guy was up to something, his body language tells it all.

Cops should follow this motto:
Make the world a better place, tase a Rider fan in the face.

Wrong the guy in the plaid shorts interfered with them doing their job. Guys that jump in like that are looked upon as a threat.

I agree as I work with people with disabilities. They are like everyone else, mostly good but there are a few bad eggs. Can't lump them all in with degenerate drunks.

I get searched pretty frequently too. Especially when I had long hair. It is something I have accepted being 6-3 and 290lbs.
Me and a buddy snuck a mickey into CW, even before I had seasons there. We were pretty early so we purchased a large coke each, dumped off the top and put half a mickey in each cup and sat in our seats discussing the upcoming game. Security nervously approached us eventually and asked if we had booze. My friend stood up for a search and the empty mickey fell out of his pocket. Funny thing was he took the empty mickey and let us stay. Even though our drinks were full of booze. We never caused trouble and had a great time. I think even some of the security had a chuckle over the incident.
That was my only experience sneaking booze into games. I only have a max of one drink at games now.

Thanks let the jerks be jerks and the special needs people be most do not choose their life style. Ask big Will Johnson who took on two Calgary flames players thought they were above signing autographs for kids with special needs. RJ I will rep you for your post!

I understand he could be a potential threat, and the situation could have gotten out of hand, but I don't think there was a need to automatically put him in a headlock imo.

He did grab the cops arm, so i would say thats a instant threat. I'm sure they are trained to deal with heated situations in that manner when there are a 1000 people around them. He's trying to do his job does he need some other moron yacking in his face? Who knows what the guy was saying to him either.
Not to mention the 50 people chanting at him becuase they think its wrong to be kicking these guys out even though they have no idea what happened.

Didn't you see the cops pointing at different people? Looks to me like someone was directing them (off screen) to get the appropriate 'offenders'...a headlock is not pleasant but looks quite effective at immobilizing someone, and if you don't struggle they won't squeeze harder....the police have to get control of the situation quickly, as they are outnumbered in an alcohol-fuelled crowd....I wouldn't want to do their job...

That's like a half of a half of a percent of the people that are atteneding. I've seen more people get kicked out of a bar/caberat of 500-1000 people in one night. Not saying that it's acceptable for people to act like retards, but it's not like it's a mass riot of 35,000 people...it's one in every 2000 people.
And there's no way anyone can blame anyone on this video....just like every other police brutality video...the camera's never start rolling until the cops show up and start being forceful...you never see what lead up to it. The dude in the moustache may have been the guy retaliating to something that didn't get noticed at first...no one knows for sure.

Do you have kids? The problem for me is I can't bring my kids to rider games. I enjoy ribbing from fans of teams, verbal sparring is cool, having a laugh at the occasional buffoon who gets hammered is usually fine too. What happens at rider games goes to a whole other level. I'm there for the game so I can pay no attention to what is happening in the stands and concentrate on the field. My kids who are 8 and 5, no matter how much they love going to football games with dad, cannot just sit and watch the game. They are looking everywhere but the field and that means they are watching every moron who acts like a jerk and are forced to hear what is pretty much a full on barrage of f bombs and other great language for kids.
It simply doesn't happen at other games like it does when the riders come to town and to top it off you get idiot stamps "fans" who try to keep up with them or feel it's their duty to drunkenly defend some kind of honour.
That's my problem with the rowdies.

Yes, the barrage of f-bombs does increase at Rider games, we had a group of young people behind us, both Stamps & Riders fans, who felt it was necessary to swear at both offence units, even their own!!

This is Joe Sixpack's wife here, and the views in this post do not reflects the view of Joe Sixpack in anyway......
I have to respond to this post as I find it to be very inaccurate. A rowdy fan affects more than one or two people at a game. These rowdy fans also make it impossible for families to come to a football game and just enjoy it. You may have a Different version of rowdy than I do, but if the police need to be involved your actions have become inappropriate. I fully think you should be able to celebrate, cheer, be loud, and even banter with other fans, but people need to be respectful of others. I was at this football game, and I saw the behaviors of many fans that is not ok. It is a football game, we should all be there to enjoy it and actually get to watch it.
As for the police brutality claims.......this is not it. If the police had started punching the guys these guys in the isles or hurting them after being restrained I might question their actions. They appeared to ask the people to leave, the fans refused, the police forced them out. I don't think anyone got hurt. Again, this should not have to even go on. It doesn't go on at hockey games. The event should be about football.

Those cops need to be way more diligent when escorting unarmed people from their seats. Pulling people down and trampling seated people on the way out is unprofessional, unnecessary and very dangerous to innocent people.
Apparently the guy in the red shirt threw a mini football at a security guard before the incident... seems like reason enough to kick him out.
